fisika in-game: an autumn forest at dusk, one dead tree outlined in gold

A game by First Law Games

fisika

A world that runs on one law. Fire, water, weather and magic all obey it, and so do you.

One law, every system

Energy is never created or destroyed. Everything in fisika is built on that.

Dry grass burning after a fireball, the fire spreading outward

01 · Heat

Fire spends savings

A tree holds stored sunlight, and fire is the transaction that spends it. Heat moves through each material at its own pace, slowly through stone, and spreads to whatever will catch. When the fuel is gone, so is the fire.

A ring of fire burning in grass at night beneath dark trees

02 · Flux

Magic is borrowed

You are a ringbearer. A ring draws from the world first, the heat of a fire, the light of the sun, the motion of the air, and every draw leaves a mark: frost, a shade, withered crops, still air. Rings are feared, because a ring can drain a valley. Casting is seen, and being seen is dangerous.

A cathedral at night under a sky full of stars

03 · Night

The dark is the enemy

Holds shut their gates at dusk. Be caught outside and the roads belong to raiders and the Hollows, people who were drawn dry and now hunt the energy they lost. Night comes every day, and it is properly dark.

Market stalls and townsfolk in a stone town square

04 · People

A world with people in it

Towns live on their wells, and a town whose well runs dry dies. Folk travel the roads, camp by real fires and carry old feuds. Nobody is evil for the sake of it: the raider, the warden and the Hollow are what scarcity made of people.
